Well this week on the water has been full of up's and downs. We have had trips that just smoked fish and trips that I did everything buy drop explosives in the lake to catch a fish. The winds and temps have been the main killer of the bite and the TVA playing with water levels has kept the fish moving back and forth. Our best baits have been Jackall Stride and Swimming Ninja swimbaits, TN70's in red craw and chrome/blue, and Cover Craws in cola color.
Rodney(my fishing/business partner and best friend)has been out everyday as well. He has reported great catches of Crappie all week except Wed.. They have been catching solid numbers but the size has been just plain awesome. They has one trip that there were 18+ fish over 2lbs.. He will be fishing a tournament on Guntersville Sat for a charity that helps Children's Hospital in Birmingham. I am headed out to Logan Martin for an event.

- Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Chris grew up with fishing as a large part of his life. Being the son of a Police Officer, he understands the importance of family time. Fishing is where he and his family found time to be together. In 1995 Chris followed in his father’s "footsteps" and began work with the Birmingham Police Department. Chris moved up through the ranks and was a Detective in the Narcotics Division when he moved to follow his dreams of professional bass fishing. He then moved to Guntersville, Alabama in 2003 to follow his dreams as a professional angler. Chris is now the owner/guide for Fins-N-Grins Freshwater Adventures and fishes on several national tournament trails. Chris is a member of several organizations including B.A.S.S., FLW, American Bass Anglers, and Alabama BASS Federation along with conducting seminars with "Hooked on Fishing Not on Drugs" and various boat shows. Chris is also the author of several fishing related articles which have been published in several papers and magazines including Bassmasters Magazine (March 2007) and currently writes for Marks Outdoors, WAAY TV 31 and American Bass Anglers.
