Guntersville Fishing 05-21-09

Hit the water today working on the swimbait and spinnerbait bite I have been on the past week. Well the morning bite is picking up on the ledges on the main river and humps. We even had a topwater bite today getting some keepers. As the day went on the bite got harder to get but we did get some fish in the boat during that time. While the mornings are good for the shad spawn the late afternoons are awesome for topwater and swimbaits.
Best baits have been the Jackall Swimming Ninja, Spinnerbaits made by War Eagle, Rattle Head, and Tru-Tungsten in shad colors, and Muscle 7 and 10+ crankbaits also shad colors. As far as the topwater. We have had good numbers on the buzzbait, Jackall Dagored, and Bowstick with the Bowstick boating the better fish.
We wanted to wish everyone a great Holiday weekend and be sure to check your safety equiptment on your rigs before hitting the water. Officers will be out in full force this weekend and keeping us all safe and sound. Also as a note the GPS/Sonar class is getting alot of interest so if your wanting to get in the class be sure to contact us to get your seat. The class will be held on June 11th at Wintzell's in Guntersville from 7-9. Thanks again for all the support and see you on the water.

God Bless
